Melee Beta Trailer
This is a video I found while browsing YouTube, and I found watching it very interesting. It's the video that Nintendo showed at E3 2001, and there are many differences between this and the final version, most notably in the stage design. In Great Bay, you could actually walk through the laboratory, instead of it just being part of the background. Also, most interesting to me is that Hyrule Temple originally had two platforms on it that aren't in the final, which you can see throughout the video. However, you can still see those platforms in the special video in the game itself! They're also in the manual for the game, and though you can hardly see them, it shows you the positioning of those platforms.
See what other differences you can find!

Re: Melee Beta Trailer
0:12 Captain Falcon uses an epic combo attack which he doesn't have in the final version.
0:16 Redeads don't appear on the Temple. Although it's possible (yet very rarely) to get a Redead (or any other enemy) to come out of a crate.
0:31 Fighting on a crossroad on Onett (this is at the left Blast Zone in the stage, but without programs, it's impossible to angle the camera in such way. Plus the fact that Kirby is about 10 centimeters away from the Blast Zone).
1:05 Boost panel design on Mute City (not sure about this one, though).
1:54 Seals as enemies on the Adventure Mode version of the Infinite Glacier level. This are - just like in the original Ice Climber game - replaced with the yeti-like Topis, because of PETA or something.
Anyway that's a cool thing you shared there, ZF. I have never seen this before.

Re: Melee Beta Trailer
1) 0:25 - Yoshi's Island had 5 spinning blocks instead of the 3 from the final game.
2) 1:48 - The Ice Climbers were referred to as Ice Climber, which is what they were called in Japan.
3) 1:52 - That looks like an early version of the Mushroom Kingdom stage from Adventure Mode. Also, both the Ice Climbers and Samus are on the stage, which isn't possible in the final game without the use of Action Replay.
