New Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS screenshot - February 25th

Today's new Super Smash Bros. Wii U screenshot shows Mario and Bowser on one of the versions of the boxing ring stage.



There are actually two versions of the boxing ring stage! This ring is the Smash Bros. version…

So they're keeping both?  Perhaps the emblem in the middle will be decided at random when the stage is selected, because I see no reason to include both and list them as different stages.

It's like how Mushroomy Kingdom has two variants, but less dramatic.

I guess the secondary (non-Smash) logo will only occur if Little Mac is chosen as a playable character. Perhaps also holding some buttons will unlock it as well. That would be neat.

Nice theory, but Little Mac is obviously not in the ring on the second photo, so I doubt that the Little Mac logo will only show if Little Mac is being played as.
