Third-party GameCube adapter for the Wii U being sold at Amazon
While the Wii U didn't come with backwards capability for the GameCube, with a third-party adapter, you'll now be able to at least play games with a GameCube controller. It's being sold at Amazon, and the price is $16.99. It has the following:
*Built in Turbo
*Compatible with all games supported by the Wii Classic Controller
*Compatible with all games supported by the Wii Classic Controller Pro
*The button A, B, X, Y, L, R and Z can be customized with Turbo
*To connect it all together just connect the Wii Remote Controller to your Wii or Wii U console, then plug your *GC Controller to the adapter, and finally connect the adapter to your Wii Remote Controller.

This seems interesting but I think it's time to move on. I have yet to buy a Classic Controller Pro and I will in the future.

Move on? Pssshhh. Who needs to move on when you have an already perfect controller?
Ok, perfect besides the D-pad.

That's what I'm talking about. It was two generations ago. If it was so perfect, then Nintendo wouldn't have ditched it. They would have just modified it like Sony did with it's controllers.

No, Nintendo just wanted to do the whole motion-control gimmick, which neccesitated dropping the Gamecube controller. They still allowed people to use it in some games, but that doesn't mean that the Gamecube controller wasn't amazing.
On the contrary, I can't stand the PlayStation controller. The control sticks are in weird places, and the hand grips just aren't all that comfortable. Hold a PlayStation controller in your hand, then hold a Gamecube controller in your hand, and tell me which one fits the hand better.
