April Fools: Nintendo Announces Super Wii U; hopes to improve sales

In hopes of improving Wii U sales in Japan, Europe, and North America, Mr. Iwata, Nintendo's Current global president, took the stage, today, to announce something very exciting; Nintendo will be releasing an upgrade to the Wii U console — the Super Wii U. According to Iwata, this upgraded system will be sixty percent more powerful than the current Wii U. As a result, it has the capability to support up to four Game Pad controllers at the same time.

In addition, Nintendo will also be releasing an add-on accessory that may enable the current Wii U console to enable it to have that same extra house power. There have not been any announcements regarding price or release date for either the console or the accessory at this point of time.

I knew it would be an April Fools' joke right from the name. It's the kind of name that just seems right for a prank. Not to mention that if you've paid attention to video game news for the past few months, you would have known that Nintendo wouldn't do this. I mean, they just released the Wii U not too long ago. Examining the video, it gets even more obvious. The shape is really weird, and I know Nintendo wouldn't really make something like that. Also, four GamePads just doesn't seem like something Nintendo would do right now. In all, this had April Fools written all over it from the start, before Iwata even said it was a joke. It wasn't too bad except for that weird shape, though.

Hahaha! It's still an interesting thought though.
