Australia getting SNES-themed Wii U Pro Controller

In Australia, when the Wii U comes out, not only will you be able to get the normal black and white Wii U Pro Controllers, you'll also be able to get an SNES-themed one. It's a third-party controller, and you can pre-order it for $48 AUD. Here's what the controller looks like:

That looks pretty cool. I really like those new controllers.

I don't know about anyone else, but while I love the design of the regular pro controller, slapping a Super Famicom design on it just looks, well, odd. I like that they're trying to give tribute to the Super Famicom controller, but if you really want something like that, I think this is a better bet.

You know what, ignore what I previously said, because while this Super Famicom version does look a bit off, they have four other choices of controllers to pick from. And the best part is that they will work for all Wii games that use the classic controller! I'm just gonna eat my words and get this controller.

There's more than the SNES one.

Well guys, I bought one and it just came today. The games do not read it as a Wii U controller, but as an old classic controller. You can also switch it to function as a standalone Wii Remote, with another switch to determine the positioning. It even has a sensor on it, so you could theoretically play Wii Sports with this thing. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with games that need Wii Remote/Nunchuck combo, so Wii Boxing is out of the question. However, it plays Brawl, Mario Kart, even NSMB Wii wonderfully.

The only problems I have with this are that even though it has a rumble pack, the games don't use it because the old classic controller didn't have one, and it doesn't work with Wii U games that don't support the old classic controller. However, if you always wanted a Wii Remote and classic controller in one (plus no wires to boot), then this is great. Doesn't replace the official Pro Controller U, though.
