Leak of CoroCoro reveals several new Pokémon
The June 2013 issue of the Japanese magazine CoroCoro has been leaked and it reveals several new Pokémon, moves, mechanics and more.
First of all - the Pokémon. Not only the art, but also details are shown. I'll quickly sum it up:
- Yanchamu, a Fighting type Pokémon resembling a Panda.
- Yayakoma, a Normal-Flying type little bird Pokémon, to be more exact a Japanese Robin.
- Erikiteru, a Electric-Normal type Pokémon.
- Gogoto, a Grass-type goat Pokémon.
There are also two new moves named:
- Yanmachu can learn a move called Sharp Remark.
- Erikiteru can learn a move called Parabola Charge (Japanese name).
And other things are:
- The official box art.
- The new PokéDex.
- The Karosu region (Japanese name).
- A city called Miare city.
- A picture of the male and female protagonists (they come in several "styles", different hair style etc.).
- The new ability to ride certain Pokémon (A picture is shown with the protagonist riding Gogoto).
For more information, here is the link to the Bulbapedia article: http://bulbanews.bulbagarden.net/wiki/June_2013_CoroCoro_leaks

Mmmm....none of the new Pokemon look particularly impressive. Seriously, Nintendo needs to step up their game when it comes to designing these things.

I like the Bird and the Panda. The bird will have Flame Charge, interesting.

I like the simple look on the new pokemon, keeps it easy.

Another smaller update:
A trailer of the new games was released and it showed the already leaked Pokémon. However they did reveal the US names:
- Gogoat remains Gogoat
- Elikiteru will be called Helioptile
- Yayakoma will be called Fetchling
- Yancham will be called Pancham
More information about the moves revealed:
- The move Parting (Sharp) Remark will be called Parting Shot; it lowers the opponent's Attack and Special Attack, but forcing the user to retreat as well.
- Parabola Charge will be called Parabolic Charge; This move damages the opponent with an unknown base power and heals the user for 50% of the damage dealt (similar to Giga Drain, Drain Punch, etc. Note: Since both Giga Drain and Drain Punch have a base power 75, it's safe to assume this one has said base power as well.)
Also the other US names and new features:
- The Karosu region will be called the Kalos region
- Miare City will be called Lumiose City
- You can also gain new outfits and accessoires for your player along the way!
- Diagonal Moving will be introduced (but there are still tiles I believe)
