Who's it going to be?
Since I don't (yet) have a contribution to the Member-created Games forum, Welcome to a little card game I call "Who's it going to be?".
Description:
"Who's it going to be?" is a simple card game in which you have to collect all 6 "part" cards of any character card set. The 6 cards each represent one of the character's parts:
1. head
2. body
3. left arm
4. right arm
5. left foot
6. right foot
There are four different card sets you can get. These are:
1. Mario
2. Luigi
3. Toad
4. Yoshi
Each game will also have one "gold" character card set. If you manage to complete the golden card set you get a bonus and will win twice (x2) the points.
HOW TO PLAY
General rules
1. Each player starts out with three cards picked at random.
2. Each player can only hold a maximum of 6 cards.
3. If a player ends up having more than 6 cards, he or she must discard one of them.
Procedure
The game is divided into individual rounds. Each round, all player must choose one card from his or her hand that he or she would like to discard and place on the "table". Each card on the table is assigned a specific number from 1 to 6. These numbers represent their dice value. Each player will then "roll the dice" and whatever number the dice lands on is the card he or she gets.
If none of the cards on the table is what you are looking for or you do not want to discard any of the cards you hold, you may choose to draw from the deck and hope you get lucky. However, you can not draw from the deck if you have the maximum amount.
Once all players have rolled the dice, the round ends and the host checks for any complete sets. If there is one player with a complete set, he or she wins. If there are two or more players with a complete set, a tie breaker game is played to determine the winner. However, if there are no complete sets, each player draw a card from te deck and another round begins and the procedure is repeated.
During the time out between rounds, players will have the option to trade cards with another player. But you may only make one trade. So choose carefully if you decide to do a trade.
The Winner will receive 10 Smash Points.

Re: Who's it going to be?
Well, it's my first concept after all. So it's not perfect. But where are you confused?
Re: Who's it going to be?
I'm not exactly sure. I'll ask as we go along.

Re: Who's it going to be?
Well, we need at least 2 players to play. So it might be a while.
But basically, you are given three character cards. For example:
- Mario Head
- Luigi Left foot (or leg) pretty much same thing.
- Mario Left arm.
And so am I (assuming I'm your opponent.
- Luigi Left Foot
- Toad body.
- Yoshi head.
The host (me) then states which is the gold card set (card set being the complete character, like Mario). Say, I'll pick Mario as the golden set. You don't have to collect all of Mario's cards but you get a bonus if you do.
When the round begins, each of us will discard one card we hold and lay it on the table (you just tell me which you want to discard).
In your case, since you have two of Mario's cards, you probably want to discard luigi's left foot. So, you currently have 2 Mario cards.
Me, on the other hand, have no cards of the same set. Therefore, I can throw any of them to the table. I'll choose toad body.
The cards on the table now contain the two we threw in and an additional 2 drawn from the deck (the table must always have four cards at least).
1. Toad body
2. Luigi left foot.
3. Mario Right arm
4. Luigi Body.
When it is your turn, I will show you the cards available like I did above. You can either roll a dice and attempt to get the card you need (4 = Mario right arm) or you can draw a card from the deck if nothing satisfies you. (Just let me know what your choice is. Also, for the dice, I'm just generating a random number from 1 to 6 in random.org and that's the number you get). If you get a 4, the card assigned that number (Mario right arm) goes to you. If you get a different number, whatever card is assigned that number is what you get.
Same goes for me. But since none of those cards are in the same set as any of the ones on my hand, it is wiser to draw a card from the deck. (Again, random.org decides all of these. The numbers you see before each character and each part card is their assigned number).
Once that is done, the round ends and the host checks to see if anyone has completed a set.
You have
- Mario Right Arm
- Mario Head
- Mario Left arm
I have
- Luigi left foot
- Yoshi head
- (say) Yoshi Right arm.
Has anyone completed their set?
- head
-body
- left arm
- right arm
- left foot
- right foot
Nope!
The host then asks if anyone wants to trade. If so, the players wanting to trade say what they want from each other. You can use this as an opportunity to stall someo e who is close to completing their character set, if they agree to the trade.
If both don't agree or if no one wants to trade, the procedure is repeated until someone completes their set.
Does that make sense?

Okey there is the table....
Table
1. Toad Left Foot
2. Toad Right Arm
3. Mario Left Arm
4. Mario Body (drawn to meet minimum number of cards on table)
These are the cards on the table! Now roll a dice to get one of the cards on the table or draw from the deck?
Taidow's up first.
