Another veteran character has been confirmed for the next Super Smash Bros. games, and this time around, it's Diddy Kong. According to Sakurai, this confirmation was done to celebrate the release of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze today in Europe and North America.

Another solid addition.  Diddy Kong was a very good character in Brawl, and I'm glad to see him return.
