Zelda confirmed for the next Super Smash Bros. games

Post by Lugia2453 on Thu Dec 26, 2013 12:58 pm

Another veteran character has been confirmed for the next Super Smash Bros. games, and this time around, it's Zelda. No surprise there, of course, but it's good to see a confirmation about it. There are no images of Sheik yet, but it's likely Zelda will still be able to transform into him, and we should see a confirmation of that soon enough. Note that one of the screenshots has a Darknut in it - looks like a new Assist Trophy has been confirmed as well.

Is Sheik really male? Even with the masculine appearance, I still consider her female. Muscular females still exist. Others in the series might see Sheik as male but maybe Sheik is still female.

In the Ocarina of Time manga Sheik is stated as or considered male however in the games (Zelda and Smash) she's Female. Personally I like the idea of her being female more it's more mysterious so to say.

Sheik is referred to as male in Ocarina of Time (the game) as well. It may only be a gold cartridge thing, but I don't know.

I prefer to think she doesn't magically change genders. ._.
